"In the morning devotion, we assign our children to lead the service – Bible readings, testimony and prayers. Sometimes, they can share a short message from their own study. Almost all of our children are brave enough to share God’s word in front of others. When they first came to our home, they hardly talk because they are shy and scared. After a year, they are bold to talk about Jesus to other people."

At a time when Myanmar is facing political, economic, and educational decline, I would like to thank you for your monthly support of Zion Children's Home.

Many children in Myanmar are not educated. The reason is that the civil war is getting worse day by day. Among them, six children who came this year from Rakhine State, Chin State, and Kachin State.

Their parents prayed for their children to live and be educated. The parents even told me that even if they died, they would be better off knowing their children lived. The parents had to sell all their belongings to come to me. They had to pay 30 million baht per child. The journey took about two weeks. They went by boat, motorbike, and car, and sometimes they had to spend the night in the jungle on the way. They had to pay money to the local authorities on the way. When they reached adulthood, they were immediately arrested. The reason was that they were forced to become soldiers.

The parents are still living in war zones. We have no contact. It has been years. Thanks to God, we are able to raise these children.

Now, they are very happy to be able to attend ACE School. I see that the education is much better than in government schools, and it is a great blessing to be able to learn about God from the Bible in the ACE curriculum.

I am also teaching part-time at ACE School. If God wills, I would like to open my own ACE School next year. However, I cannot build my own building yet, so it is difficult to start the school. I want to do this by teaching difficult children in one place.

I thank God for giving me the opportunity to closely teach and build body, soul, and spirit. Now, the children are living together in the school and teaching. Since I can't find a house to rent in Hmawbi, I'm renting a house in Magladon, Htauk Kyat.

The children go to school by bus every day. It's a bit far for the children. If it's convenient, I would like a light truck to take the children to school and to go to places they need.

We, Zion Children's, continue to pray. We, Zion Children's, pray every morning and night for the families, health, business, and everything else for the donors. May God bless the donors and all those who help.

"Thank you so much for your prayers and support throughout this past year. Our children at the Mercy Home, as well as the refugee children have been blessed by your support and are growing physically, in their education, as well as in their spiritual lives. Our children have had a particular hard time in school since arriving at our home. This year we were able to hire special teachers from the school and we are seeing improvements already!Thank you for supporting the various work and farm projects around the Mercy Home."

"In 2016, my family moved to Yangon so I could pursue my theological studies. While serving in Yangon, our house was destroyed due to an incident. We had no choice but to move to Hmawbi, where we are still living today.I felt the Lord place a burden on my heart to care for vulnerable children, which led us to begin this ministry in 2022.

We began the ministry with five orphans and had no external support. It was a very difficult time that we tried to run a small mushroom business at home, but it wasn’t enough to meet our needs.

By God’s grace, the Lord opened a door and answered our prayers. I couldn’t speak or write English well, so I honestly never expected support from a foreign mission. But the Lord used Sayama Cherry and Saya Nevin to connect us with this organization. I thank God for His perfect plan. We deeply appreciate your generous support.

This year, we initially planned to take in five more children, but as we encountered more vulnerable children and the number exceeded our plan and became seven.

Together with our children, we pray regularly for the organization and all the supporters. We are praying to build an extension on the upper floor of our kitchen, which we plan to be for boys’ dormitory. We believe the Lord will fulfill this prayer in His time, and we kindly ask you to pray with us for this need."

Thank you so much for your regular support and prayer for us. Although we are far from you, we feel your love and care especially for people like us in a tiny corner of the world. We feel sometimes that the world forgot us, since we are facing many difficulties, but your love and care encourages us always to stand firm in the faith and to trust God no matter what happen to us.

In Putao Children’s Home, we have about 30 young people. We are located at a big village where western missionaries built their centers in the past. The churches are quite poor and our neighbors are quite poor. They cannot help us, although they want to, but they are expecting us to take care of their children for education.

Many of our children came from China-Myanmar boarder where the war is going on and China closed all the boarder gates. In the past, they buy their needs from China. But now after the COVID and military coup in Myanmar, they cannot buy anything from China. They need to buy food, medicines and even salt from the city and carried for more than 5 days on foot. Even in Putao, where our children home is, salt is still expensive.

Because of these difficulties, they cannot open their schools for years. And the war is going on and flood washed away their schools. Some people can afford their children to study at a city, but poor people and orphans have a hard time getting education. We have those children with us.

In the children home, we provide enough rice because they never had enough food, especially rice. We cook them rice and they eat well although we cannot have good curry. Only sometimes, we can buy meat and vegetables.

Next Summer, we are going to have Free English Classes at the children’s home for outsiders too. In the campus, we grow some corns, and grapefruits. We have bananas too. The campus is big enough and we are very happy to stay together. If we can build a fence soon, it will be safer for us.

Thank you so much for your love and giving. It touched really our hearts and the hearts of many people here. We pray that the Lord will bless you richly. I am pretty sure that these children will be a huge impact to the church and to the people.

"Your compassion has brought hope to some of the most vulnerable children, primarily from the Mro ethnic community, who have suffered devastating losses due to the ongoing conflict, including the loss of parents, homes, and years of education.

For three to four years, these children have been deprived of schooling as the region's instability forced closures. Now, with Rakhine local organizations working to reopen schools, we are able to provide shelter, stability, and education to those most in need. Your support has been instrumental in making this possible.

This children's home is more than just a safe haven; it is a place where these young lives can heal, grow, and rebuild their futures. Each child here will now have the opportunity to learn, thrive, and eventually contribute to their communities.

We are especially grateful for your partnership throughout this entire process from planning to execution. Your belief in this mission has made a tangible difference, and we cannot thank you enough for standing with us."
